Keep playing.
We'll handle the details.

Quick answers for tuning, recording, project recovery, exports, and local data controls.

Tuner

If the tuner is not responding

  1. 01

End any phone call and stop another app that is currently using the microphone.

  2. 02

Open iOS Settings, find Guitar Studio, and confirm Microphone access is on.

  3. 03

Return to Guitar Studio, select Auto or the intended string, then play one clean string at a time.

  4. 04

If an external audio device is connected, disconnect it briefly to confirm which microphone route is active.

On a call?

iOS reserves the microphone for the call. End the call, then use Try Again After Call in Guitar Studio.

Projects & Mixes

Save or reopen a project

01

Save

In the Looper, tap Save. The project name, tracks, edits, and mix settings are stored locally.

02

Open the library

Tap the folder button labeled Projects and saved mixes.

03

Resume

Choose Projects, find the session, and tap Open Project. Stop recording, playback, saved-mix preview, or export first if the control is unavailable.

04

Manage

Use the project's ellipsis menu to rename, duplicate, or delete a session.

WAV export

Export or share a complete mix

  1. 01

Finish the current take and set each track's mute and level controls for the mix you want to hear.

  2. 02

Tap Export Complete Mix in the Looper header. Guitar Studio creates a WAV from the audible tracks.

  3. 03

Choose a destination in the iOS share sheet, such as Save to Files or AirDrop.

  4. 04

To share an existing export later, open the folder, choose Mixes, then tap its share button.

Local data controls

Delete a project, completed mix, or Comp take

Project

Remove tracks and edits

Stop recording, playback, saved-mix preview, and export. Open the folder, choose Projects, open the project's ellipsis menu, tap Delete, then confirm with the destructive Delete button.

Mix

Remove a local WAV

Open the folder, choose Mixes, tap Delete for the exported mix, then confirm with the destructive Delete button.

Comp

Remove the latest guitar take

Open Comp Machine and find Guitar Take. Tap the trash button beside the latest take, then confirm Delete Take. Recording another take also replaces the previous one.

Deletion cannot be undone.

Deleting a project removes its local recordings. Deleting an in-app mix does not remove a copy you already saved to Files, sent to another app, or transferred to another device.

Privacy

Where your work lives

Tuning analysis and recording happen on the device. Projects remain in Guitar Studio's local app storage until you delete them. Export uses the iOS share sheet so you choose the destination. Read the full privacy policy for details.
